Shetland Nature Festival

The annual Shetland Nature Festival starts on Saturday 6th of July until Sunday 14th July and has events throughout Shetland. There will be lots on at the Shetland Museum and Archives during the week.

There is a fantastic exhibition on 'The Eagle's Last Stronghold' and our Curator Dr. Ian Tait will be giving a talk on this on Monday 8th July. There are talks on in the auditorium from Will Miles on Seabirds and from Donald Murray on 'Digging up the Dark Stuff'.

We will be having our own open day at the Crofthouse Museum on Tuesday 9th July and an Open day at Shetland Museum and Archives in Lerwick on Friday 12th July. We will have a display of the Naturalist Walter Scott's Botanical collection and a talk on the collection from Archivist Brian Smith.
