Hygiene

Find out how we have increased hygiene levels in the building.

Hand-sanitising

Hand-gel dispensers are available throughout Shetland Museum and Archives and all visitors should feel free to use them whenever they need to. The only surfaces you might need to touch are the handrails.

If using the family/disabled toilets you will require to touch the door handles. In our downstairs toilets, we have push taps that turn off automatically. In the family/disabled toilets we have taps that can be turned off using your elbows.

Staff in PPE (personal protective equipment)

The safety of our staff and guests is our priority. Staff members who will be closer to visitors will be wearing PPE.

Cleaning

We work hard to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the attraction. The entire attraction underwent deep-cleaning before re-opening and is cleaned thoroughly daily. Staff will be cleaning key touch points throughout the Museum and Archives on a regular basis during opening.
