Saturday, May 19th 2018 - Sunday, June 24th 2018

Paintings in the exhibition depict landscape and heritage informed by influences from design and fine art perspectives.

Angela trained in textile design at Derby College of Art and in painting at Lancaster University. Her designs for printed textiles were produced in the UK, America, Italy and Japan and commissions for products included The Sunday Times.

She has exhibited paintings in group shows in the Northwest and London with exhibition and purchase of work for BP Oil Europe’s artist project. Drawing is important to her practice and sketchbook studies made outdoors at locations across Shetland feature in the projection.

Angela moved to Shetland in 2008 as Senior Lecturer in Creative Industries at Shetland College UHI with responsibility for arts courses. Between 2014 and 2017 as Operations Manager at the Sumburgh Head Lighthouse Visitor Centre she developed the education and artist residency programmes. Both positions gave insight in to Shetland’s culture, heritage and environment.
