Hay's Dock Café Restaurant
Hay’s Dock Café Restaurant is located on the first floor of Shetland Museum and Archives. The views out over Hay’s Dock from the full length windows provide a wonderful accompaniment to the delicious snacks and meals served.
Shetland is abundant with fresh local ingredients. Many of the dishes are based on our rich heritage and culture including fishing and crofting and are often planned to fit in with themed exhibitions or events in the Museum.
The vibrant daytime café atmosphere provides a perfect setting for light snacks, lunches or afternoon coffee with a delicious homemade scone. Snacks are served all day, with lunches available between 12.00pm and 3.00pm.
The ‘Mootie Moose’ menu offers a range of tasty smaller portions for younger diners. Mootie Moose is a popular character at Shetland Museum and Archives and can often be found leading gallery tours and activity workshops for younger children.
Evening dining offers a more refined and relaxed ambience. Enjoy beautifully prepared meals accompanied by fine wine or local ales. The Early Bird menu is also a popular option for quick, lower cost dining for those looking to catch a film or theatre performance.
All current menus are available to view on the Hay's Dock Cafe Restaurant website.
