Auditorium

Located just off the main foyer is a 120 tiered seat auditorium, which has hosted a number of events, such as lectures, conferences, recitals, films, meetings and award ceremonies.

The tiered seats can be retracted to reveal an open space of 9.4 metre front to back and 10.4 metre wide, allowing the space to be used for music and drama performances, exhibitions and consultations.

With the seating retracted it can accommodate in the region of 150 people standing or 90 with tables and chairs, though this will depend on layout.

The Auditorium is equipped with many technical features, such as:

  • Surround sound audio system.
  • Cinema quality projection capability.
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of presentation formats, including CD, DVD, video and PC driven media. 
  • Podium with microphone.
  • A hand held wireless microphone.
  • Wired internet access.
