A new exhibition in the upper foyer area focusses on the Territorial army.

In the peaceful years early last century, more than two hundred lads from Lerwick and elsewhere volunteered for the Territorial Army. They weren’t to know that war would take them to the battlefields of France, and eventually the devastating carnage of 1916. This is the story of those men, and the families they left behind.
