Up Helly Aa Day

Drop along Shetland Museum and Archives on Up Helly Aa day and join in the excitement!
The building will be open from 10am with story telling by Davy Cooper throughout the morning.
The Junior Jarl Squad will arrive with their galley at 11.30am where it will be on display on the Dock area until 3.30pm
The senior Jarl Squad with Guizer Jarl, Lyall Gair, will visit between 3.30pm and 4.30pm where visitors will be able to speak with members of the sqad and take pictures.
The building will be open until 6.00pm.
Hay's Dock Cafe Restaurant will serve reestit mutton soup and bannocks all day, with main lunch and snack menu also availble.
