A Talk: An Introduction to the Toevakoddi and a Conversation with the Artists

An opportunity to meet the artists and discuss ‘Taxcloth: The Toevakoddi Project’.
Hazel Hughson and Barbara Ridland will be on hand to discuss their respective practices and speak about the process of being involved in the project, which also included third member Joan Fraser. Curator Carol Christiansen will provide a brief overview of the subject to present context and be available to facilitate discussion from a historical perspective.
This event will be informal and take place in the learning room at Shetland Museum over a cup of tea/coffee, followed by a visit to the Gadderie to view the exhibition and hear the artists talk about their work.
